Eat better to achieve a healthy weight

Australia’s Healthy Weight Week is an ideal time to kick-start healthy eating habits. Carrying too much weight, especially around your waist, puts you at a higher risk of lifestyle-related conditions, such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

But the good news is that losing just 5-10 per cent of your starting weight, or dropping a few centimetres from your waist, will reduce this risk and benefit your health and wellbeing in the long term. Being a healthy weight helps you to feel your best – and it’s never too late to start!
