Count down to launch

3, 2, 1 Action!

Australia’s Healthy Weight Week (AHWW), 13-19 February 2017 is around the corner. Thank you to all the members who have registered events and been promoting the week via social media. We have almost 500 activities happening around the country next week! And it’s not too late to get involved.

Run an event

If you haven’t registered an event, but want to run something later in the week, contact Felicity Curtain. Depending on your location we may still be able to send you a free resource pack!

Pitch your event to your local media

If you’re looking to attract media to your AHWW event, check out our member-only media kit, including a media release template (with some AHWW details filled in to make it easier for you to pick-up and send to local media).

Head along to an event

Support APDs in your area by attending their events! You can search for public events via the healthy weight week website.

For all those running and attending events across the week, share your event photos with Samantha Chambers and we’ll pin them onto our Pinterest page and share via social.

Join us at the NSW Launch Event

Based in NSW? Join the sea of orange with our supporters and fantastic volunteers at the big Launch Event in Pitt St Mall, Sydney on Monday 13 February 2017 (11am-3pm). You’ll meet the lovely Dr Andrew Rochford and the team from Sprout Cooking, who will be cooking up some beef, lamb, chicken and vegetarian dishes on the day, representing our sponsors Meat & Livestock Australia, Australian Chicken Meat Federation, Mushrooms and McKenzies Foods. Thanks also to partners Australian Almonds, who will be at the event and Xyris who have added these recipes to Easy Diet Diary. And welcome to Chobani and Harris Farm Markets who are joining us on the day!

Get involved on social media

Keep up to date next week and follow the #AHWW2017 hashtag on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Adding this hashtag to your posts and event photos is a way for you to share your events with us too!

Download our social media toolkit to promote your event and support the campaign. This has been designed with busy members in mind – take some time today to schedule your social posts and you’ll be ready for the week ahead.
